American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Urology Outpatient Clinic position requiring strong urology skills and proficiency with catheterization.

Details

• Work in an outpatient urology clinic setting
• Day shifts, Monday through Friday (5x8 hours), 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Patient care includes performing special procedures such as Gemcitabine/Gemzar chemo instillations, urodynamics studies, PTNS, catheter changes, CIC teaching, voiding trials, and injections
• Epic EMR is used and prior experience with Epic is required
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• No floating to other units required but must be willing to float between facilities within the state if needed

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Strong urology skills (4/4 on relevant skills checklist) required
• Comfort with catheterization is required
• Prior outpatient clinic experience highly preferred, but acute care experience with high-rated urology skills accepted
• Ability to provide two supervisory references covering at least one year of employment within the last three years in a comparable specialty or setting

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing special chemo procedures, triage of patient calls, medication refills, and documentation in Epic
• Willingness to be trained in urodynamics studies, bladder instillations, Botox, and testosterone injections as needed
• First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
• Chemo certification is not required for this role
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot submit within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Minimal to no time-off requests are preferred and all RTO must be addressed at application
