American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical night shift position at a Level 1 Trauma Center, requiring a current IL RN license and recent acute care Med/Surg experience.

Details

• Work in a Medical Surgical unit at a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Night shifts: 3x12 hours, 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
• Every other weekend required (2 weekends per month)
• Mandatory floating to any Cook facility within a 50-mile radius, including outside primary competency with a team-based support model
• Cerner is the charting system used

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at the time of application
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care Med/Surg experience required
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Must live within 75 miles of the facility
• COVID vaccine required

Additional Information

• Navy blue scrubs are required and are not provided
• Strict compliance standards are enforced, including timely completion of lab work
• Only a maximum of 5 days RTO allowed per contract, with no more than 2 consecutive days and none on or adjacent to holidays or weekends
• Floating notification may be given as little as 2 hours before shift start
• First time travelers will be considered
• No block scheduling or special scheduling requests allowed
