Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a MD or compact RN license and strong EKG rhythm interpretation skills.

Details

• Work in a Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes medical-surgical and telemetry cases
• Rotation between day (7:00-19:30) and night (19:00-7:30) 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend shifts required
• Float to other units as needed
• Open to both 13-week and 8-week contracts

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in med/surg telemetry
• Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam (minimum 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms)
• First-time travelers are accepted

Additional Information

• Must provide high-quality patient assessment and monitoring of cardiac rhythms
• Locals within a 60-mile radius are accepted
• Expected to float to other units as required
• Professional attire or scrubs as per hospital guidelines
