Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a SICU ICU position requiring AL or compact RN license, night shifts, and every other weekend coverage.

Details

• Work in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) in a hospital setting
• Patient population includes stroke, complex post-op surgical cases, respiratory distress, and COVID
• Nurse to patient ratio is 2:1
• Handles special procedures such as external ventricular drain (EVD)
• Uses Cerner for electronic charting
• Night shift (12 hours), with every other weekend required
• Float to other critical care areas as needed based on skillset

Requirements

• Active AL or compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• ICU experience required
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred

• Responsibilities include providing intensive care to post-op and neuro patients
• Support from a critical care team environment
• No on-call requirements
