Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN with an active OH or compact license and recent specialty experience for a rotating shift assignment.

Details

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Assignment consists of 3x12 hour shifts with rotating day and night shifts (7am-7:30pm/7pm-7:30am)
• Shifts may be variable based on operational needs
• Patients require medical-surgical and telemetry level care
• Use of Qualivis – Lotus for submitting hours worked

Requirements

• Active permanent OH or compact RN license in hand
• At least 18 months of permanent experience as a Med/Surg Tele RN prior to travel assignments
• At least 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience; travel experience counts toward requirement
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation

Additional Information

• Must be willing to work at least every other holiday as required by the assignment
• Orientation will include mandatory clinical assessments
• Assignments at any location are limited to a maximum of 18 consecutive months, and a 6-month break is required before returning for another assignment
• Extensions beyond 18 consecutive months require mutual agreement
• Scrub or dress code requirements will be provided during orientation
