American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department day shift position requiring GA or compact RN license and strong ED skills.

Details

• Work in a busy Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department within a teaching hospital setting
• 61-bed unit with additional surge capacity
• Patient population includes trauma, cardiac, stroke, diabetes, abdominal pain, mental health, and other emergencies
• Typical RN patient ratio is 1:4 depending on assigned zone
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Weekend rotation requires 6 shifts per 6-week schedule
• Holiday coverage required for major holidays
• No on-call or floating outside ER required
• Uses Epic EMR; experience with Epic preferred
• Utilizes telemetry monitoring, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis, and Phillips monitors

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years recent ED RN experience
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
• Must pass facility EKG competency exam
• Basic rhythm recognition skill required
• Experience in Level 1 Trauma or busy ED preferred

• Orientation includes 1 day of facility onboarding and 2 days of department orientation
• RNs must wear navy scrubs
