Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU night shift position requiring a TX or compact license and recent SICU experience.

Details

• Position is in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
• Work schedule is 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Cares for critical surgical patients in a hospital setting
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• No local candidates accepted; must live more than 50 miles away

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent SICU experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) from AHA or ARC
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Must provide valid US Social Security Number and Date of Birth for consideration
• At least one professional reference required

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to post-surgical ICU patients
• Assignment does not consider local candidates within a 50-mile radius
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the contract
• Holiday and weekend shifts may be required as part of the rotation
