Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU night shift position requiring cardiac experience and an active SC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) in an acute care hospital
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with holiday rotation
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Weekend shifts required every other weekend
• Floating to similar units required, agency staff float first
• No on-call responsibilities
• Unit uses Epic EMR; prior experience with Epic preferred
• Royal blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license must be in hand prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of recent cardiac experience required
• AHA certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Previous perm staff (including PRN) must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must live at least 60 miles from the facility unless approved as a local at a reduced rate
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Additional Information

• Care for critically ill cardiovascular patients with complex needs
• All time off requests must be declared at application; approval is based on facility needs
• Must be willing and able to participate in hospital emergency response during hurricane season (June-November)
• No parking fee for staff on site
• Completion of approximately 4 hours of pre-start modules is required
• Locals may be considered at a reduced rate on a case-by-case basis
