American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a busy Emergency Department position requiring a GA or compact license, and a minimum of two years of ER experience.

Details

• Work in a large, high-acuity hospital Emergency Department
• Serve adolescent through geriatric patient populations
• 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio in a 59-bed ER with 165-175 daily patients
• The department is non-trauma but is Stroke and STEMI certified
• Utilizes Epic EMR (required) and Pyxis medication system
• Scheduled for 12-hour day shifts (3x12 hours) from 7:00 to 19:00
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating is rare

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Epic EMR experience required
• First-time travelers not considered
• Must provide two supervisory references for consideration

Additional Information

• Navy blue scrubs are required
• Must be able to work assigned major holidays based on assignment period
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off (RTO); none allowed during the first week
• Returning travelers must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one year
• Travel pairs cannot work the same shift in the same unit
• Full compliance required to start on time; non-compliance results in a two-week delay due to bi-weekly orientation
• Locals are accepted at the same rate
