Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with West Virginia or compact state licensure, ACLS and NIH certification, and proficiency in conscious sedation and ventilator management.

Details

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital setting
• Day shifts, 3x12 hours, 7:00am–7:30pm, with every other weekend required
• Patient population average of 0.2 patients per day
• Floating to other units may be required
• Uses CPSI EMR system
• Wine and/or burgundy scrubs are required (not provided)

Requirements

• Active WV or compact RN license with no pending action
• Current certifications: BCLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• CCRN certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
• Proficiency with conscious sedation, telemetry, and ventilator management

Additional Information

• Responsible for critical care nursing tasks including monitoring patients on ventilators and providing conscious sedation
• Travel experience not required
• Must provide documentation of relevant work experience within the past 3 years
• Two manager or charge references from the last 2 years required for consideration
• COVID vaccination status documentation required
• Holiday and weekend coverage required as scheduled
