Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in a cardiac-focused hospital setting requiring a MA RN license and recent telemetry and acute care experience.

Details

• Position is in a hospital environment with floating between cardiac and med/surg units
• Care provided to cardiac medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 am - 7:30 pm, with every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Use of Meditech IVs and telemetry equipment
• Must be able to independently read telemetry strips and pass an onsite exam on Day 1
• EPIC EMR experience is strongly preferred

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years recent acute care experience and recent telemetry and cardiac experience required
• Level 1 Trauma Hospital experience required
• Must be able to adapt quickly to different units
• Must pass Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test, with up to two attempts allowed
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include caring for patients in both cardiac and med/surg units and independently interpreting telemetry strips
• Staff will float between units based on hospital needs
• No extended time off or specific schedule requests permitted
• Holiday coverage is required for assigned holidays
• First time travelers may be considered for this position
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel nurses
