American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with Level 1 trauma and Epic experience for a night shift Labor & Delivery position in Illinois.

Details

• Position is in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital
• Patient population includes obstetric patients and newborns in both standard and surgical deliveries
• Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• EPIC EMR experience required
• No on-call but must provide up to 7 days of requested time off per 13 week contract
• Floating and trauma care may be required as part of the role

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license or temporary license accepted
• Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) required
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of one year of relevant L&D nursing experience required; three years preferred
• Level 1 trauma hospital experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• Care responsibilities include monitoring fetal well-being, medication administration, intrapartum and postpartum care, and patient education
• Team support and feedback are integral to unit operations
• Accurate and timely nursing documentation is expected
• No travel partners accepted for this assignment
• Returning travelers cannot exceed one year of continuous assignment without a six-month break
• Assignment may be cancelled only with 30 days advance notice after start
