American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with a CA license for a Pediatric PACU position requiring pediatric and PACU expertise.

Details

• Work in a Pediatric PACU setting within a hospital environment
• Responsibilities include post-anesthesia care for pediatric patients
• Shift options include day shifts of 4 hours, scheduled either 6:30-10:30 or 8:00-12:00
• Potential to float to other departments or facilities within a 75+ mile radius as needed

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
• Minimum 5 years of pediatric experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience within the last 12 months required
• COVID-19 vaccination and booster required prior to start, with documentation
• Preferred qualifications include 2 years of PICU, ED, or ICU RN experience, Level 1 Trauma hospital experience, ASPAN certification, and prior teaching hospital experience

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative and post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients
• Completion of required onboarding modules prior to start and annually
• Requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved before contract start; mid-contract RTO requests will not be accepted
• Team structure may involve reassignment to different units or departments as operationally needed
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
