American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Oncology position requiring a MT or compact license and EPIC charting experience.

Details

• Work in an acute Oncology unit within a hospital setting
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week
• Care for oncology patients requiring medical and surgical nursing interventions
• Utilizes EPIC EMR for all charting and documentation
• May be required to float to other departments based on business needs
• Possible on-call requirements during regularly scheduled shifts

Requirements

• Active RN license in MT or any compact state is required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Med/Surg Oncology nursing
• Graduation from an accredited ASN program is required; BSN preferred
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required; ACLS preferred if appropriate for unit
• Experience with EPIC EMR is required
• No pending licenses accepted for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide independent nursing care for oncology patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Perform health teaching and counseling for patients and families
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate and modify therapy and treatment plans
• Document care and patient status in accordance with regulatory and hospital guidelines
• Permanent staff must have at least a one-year separation from any Intermountain facility prior to travel assignment eligibility
• Compliance with all pre-employment screening, including background check and drug screening, is mandatory
