Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown/Telemetry travel position requiring active IL and IA (or compact) RN licenses and EPIC proficiency.

Details

• Work in a hospital stepdown/telemetry unit
• Patient ratio is typically 1:4-5
• May be required to float within the same discipline across multiple local campuses
• Care for adult telemetry and stepdown patients
• Epic EMR system is used and familiarity is required

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
• Iowa RN license or proof of application for Iowa single-state or compact RN license required
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required and must be active
• Minimum of 2 years of prior stepdown experience required
• Proven experience using Epic EMR
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the hospital
• Recent supervisory reference from within the last 2 years required

Additional Information

• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must be willing to float as needed to other campuses
• Required to work 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
• Only 1 day of time off will be approved between 11/26-11/30 and 12/23-1/2
• Returning candidates cannot have been employed at the client hospital within the past 12 months
