Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab RN with a current CA license, a minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience, and required certifications for a 13-week assignment.

Details

• Work in the Cath Lab of an acute care hospital
• Patient population includes those with coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and cardiac arrhythmias
• Perform procedures such as coronary and peripheral diagnostic and interventions and permanent pacemaker placements
• Daily caseload averages 8–12 cases
• Epic EMR is used and experience is required
• Day shift schedule (4x10-hour shifts), 6:30–19:00, with weekend and on-call requirements
• No floating required for this assignment

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, ARRT, Fluoro Permit (RCIS only is not accepted)
• Willing to consider candidates with pending Fluoro permits if already applied
• Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year within the last three years in a comparable specialty
• Epic charting system experience required

• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• Orientation consists of 30 hours
• Call is required as part of the position
• Block scheduling may be considered upon request
• Most RTO must be approved at the time of application
• Scrubs are provided in the Cath Lab
• Free parking is available during assignment
• Returning former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months and cannot live within 50 miles of the facility to be eligible as a traveler
• Travelers may be expected to float between facilities within the state according to operational needs
• Local candidates are accepted
