Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU night shift position requiring recent open-heart surgery and critical cardiac care experience.

Details

• Work in a Cardiovascular ICU unit within a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:2 based on acuity, with possible step-down level of care for overflow patients
• Night shifts (7p-7a) required on both weekdays and weekends
• EMR system used is Cerner
• Blocked schedules considered only for weekends (Fri–Sun or Sat–Mon)

Requirements

• Active WV or compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Cardiovascular ICU experience
• Experience with direct fresh open-heart admissions from OR
• Proficient in cardiac surgery nursing, pressure monitoring, and Swan-Ganz catheter management
• Experience with Impella and CRRT monitoring required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS

Additional Information

• Duties include management of complex cardiovascular and post-operative cardiac patients
• No travel experience required for consideration
• No scrubs provided; nurses must supply their own attire
