Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Unit night position caring for both adult and pediatric patients, requiring AZ or compact license and flexibility with shifts.

Details

• Work in a 20-bed medical surgical unit caring for adults, geriatrics, and pediatric patients
• Staffing ratios are typically 4:1, maximum 5:1 for non-COVID patients and 2:1, maximum 3:1 for COVID patients
• 12-hour night shifts with a schedule alternating between 36 hours and 48 hours per week, plus up to 1 on-call shift per week
• Must be flexible and open to working day shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
• May be assigned to assist with Flu Immunization clinics in addition to inpatient care
• Floating to other departments may be required based on qualifications and competency

Requirements

• Active AZ or compact RN license
• Minimum three years of med-surg experience required
• At least one year of pediatric experience required
• Certifications required: American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Must be comfortable working with both adult and pediatric patients

Additional Information

• Expected to attend staff meetings as scheduled
• Orientation is held on Mondays only; compliance with deadlines is necessary to avoid delay
• Occasional task-oriented floating may include answering call lights or phones
• Maximum of two shift call offs allowed per contract
• No COVID-19 vaccine requirement specified
