American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) for a day shift assignment with call and a privileging process required prior to start.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) within a hospital setting
• Primary cases include cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic procedures
• Three 12-hour day shifts from 6:30am to 7:00pm
• Call required one day per week and one weekend approximately every four weeks, subject to departmental needs
• Potential for floating within the facility, including to the Main OR as needed
• No blocked scheduling is allowed

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• CSFA certification with NBSTSA or NCCSA required
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is expected, but candidates with at least 3 years may be considered
• Extensive cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic experience required
• Must complete privileging process before starting (estimated timeline: approximately 3 months)
• Two supervisory references from a manager or higher preferred for consideration
• Must be able to submit core items and schedule labs within 48 hours of contract signing

Additional Information

• All candidates must complete a privileging process before starting the assignment
• Assignment includes a non-billable orientation and specialty-specific modules
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO) permitted; no RTO allowed during the first week
• No holiday RTO accepted; if major holidays occur during assignment, candidates are expected to work per policy
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Perm or PRN staff must be away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one full year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Not permitted to work the same shift in the same unit as a travel partner
