American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown/Telemetry position, requiring an active IL RN license and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

• Work in a hospital stepdown/telemetry unit environment
• Night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 3x12 hour shifts per week
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• May be required to float within the same discipline across multiple campuses in the local area
• Epic EMR is used and prior experience is required
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
• Active IA RN license required, or proof of application for IA single-state or compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required
• Minimum 2 years of recent stepdown nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience and comfort with its use required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers will be considered

Additional Information

• Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary team to manage and provide patient care
• 16 hours of orientation provided on assignment start
• Travelers are required to work 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year’s, or Thanksgiving)
• Only 1 day off request will be approved between peak holiday dates
• Charge and precepting responsibilities may be available with additional compensation
• Previous employment at the facility within the past 12 months may affect eligibility
