Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric ICU with a required OH or compact RN license and strong pediatric experience.

Details

• Position is in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) within a hospital setting
• Care for patients from infancy up to 25 years old
• Shifts are 12 hours, with day and night rotations possible per operational needs
• Experience in epilepsy monitoring, EKGs, and administering inotropes is required
• Uses Qualivis – Lotus for submitting hours worked
• Required to work at least every other holiday

Requirements

• Active OH or compact state RN license in hand
• AHA certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• Minimum of 18 months of recent pediatric ICU experience
• Proficiency with EKG rhythm recognition and inotrope administration
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include caring for critically ill pediatric patients and those with epilepsy monitoring needs
• Must provide two professional references
• Dress code and orientation details will be provided upon assignment
• Assignments at this health system cannot exceed 18 consecutive months; a 6-month break is required after 18 months before returning
• Holiday coverage flexibility is required
