American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN for night shifts, requiring a NH or compact RN license and experience with cardiac drips and dementia care.

Details

• Work in a hospital stepdown unit with an adult-geriatric patient population
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, totaling 36 hours per week
• Required to work every other weekend and follow a holiday rotation
• Floating to Kingsbury unit as needed
• Block scheduling will not be accommodated
• Uses Epic EMR
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license must be in hand at the time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• At least 2 years of recent Med Surg experience required
• Experience managing cardiac drips required
• Experience with dementia management required
• Experience using Epic strongly preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification strongly preferred
• Must have own vehicle due to lack of public transportation in the community

Additional Information

• Responsible for coordinating total nursing care, patient and family teaching, and leadership in collaboration with clinical teams
• Professional scrubs with no logos are required
• COVID-19 vaccination is strongly recommended but not required
• All medical and occupational health compliance items must be completed within 5 days of offer acceptance
• Maximum of 5 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed
• Candidates residing within 50 miles are not eligible for consideration as local travelers
