Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift orthopedic Med/Surg position requiring an active IL license and at least 2 years of experience.

Details

• Work in the Orthopedics unit of an acute care, Level I trauma, Magnet-designated hospital
• 38-bed unit with adult orthopedic and medical-surgical patients
• Night shifts available as 3x12 or 4x12 (1845-0645)
• Required to work every third weekend
• Floating to other Med/Surg departments as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Cerner EMR used; experience preferred

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license required at time of application
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Telemetry experience preferred
• IV therapy and phlebotomy skills required, including PICC line management and starting IVs
• Previous travel experience preferred

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Work in a Magnet-recognized and Level I trauma hospital environment
• Scrubs in any solid color are permitted
• No radius rule; local candidates accepted
• Parking permit is required and provided at no cost
• Orientation will cover parking and hospital procedures
• Ideally, no more than 5 days of requested time off
