Description

American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN with a KS or compact license and recent cardiac telemetry experience for night shifts.

Details

• Position is in a 300-bed acute care hospital on the Cardiac Telemetry Unit
• Telemetry nursing role with 12-hour night shifts (1900-0730)
• Weekend rotation is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Must float to all acute care units as needed
• Patient caseload includes post-procedure TR Bands, management of cardiac drips, and Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation
• Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year recent telemetry nursing experience required
• Experience managing TR Bands, cardiac drips including Heparin, Butamax, Lasix, Cardizem, and Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation
• 2-5 years of telemetry experience preferred

Additional Information

• Initial orientation includes days at main campus and site-specific training
• Must work one major holiday from each set: Thanksgiving (Eve, Day, or Day after), Christmas (Eve or Day), and New Year's (Eve or Day)
• Nicotine-free work environment

• Team includes support from Director of Nursing and orientation staff
