Description

American Traveler is seeking a skilled Telemetry RN with at least 2 years of experience, a compact or MD RN license, and ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications for a night shift position.

Details

• Position is in the Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week from 18:45 to 07:15
• Requires coverage every other weekend with 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks
• Must float to units of equal or lower acuity as needed

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry nursing experience
• Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Strong skills in telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and management of dysrhythmias
• Must pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Two recent supervisor references required
• Flu vaccine required prior to start
• Return staff must have a minimum 1 year gap from previous employment with the system

Additional Information

• First time travelers are accepted for this position
• Scrubs are not provided and must be Caribbean blue in color
• Pre-employment modules must be completed, averaging up to 12 hours, and are recorded via transcripts
• Must accurately list all requested time off at the time of initial application, with no more than 7 days off for a 13-week contract and no time off allowed in the first two weeks
• Manager interview may not occur as part of the hiring process
