American Traveler is hiring an Interim Med Surg Supervisor RN with AK licensure and demonstrated nursing leadership experience.

Details

Position is for Interim Med Surg Supervisor in a hospital setting
Supervises the Med Surg unit with a total of 38 beds and 10 beds in the ECU
8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday with some variability
Utilizes Epic for charting, Pyxis medication system, Vocera, and Shift Wizard scheduling

Requirements

Active State of Alaska RN license required
Current BLS from AHA required
Current ACLS and PALS from AHA required
Minimum 3 years of Med Surg nursing experience
At least 1 year of nursing leadership experience
Proficient acute care nursing knowledge and skills
Demonstrated expertise in managing patients in a Med Surg setting

Additional Information

Responsible for supervising Med Surg nursing staff and identifying unit education needs
Plans and implements educational programs for staff development
Conducts performance reviews and collaborates with the unit Director to improve departmental performance
Oversees orientation and preceptorships for new employees
Business casual dress code is required
