Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Operating Room position requiring proficiency with high-acuity pediatric surgical cases and a MA RN license.

Details

• Work in a high-acuity Pediatric Operating Room within an acute care, Magnet-designated, Level I trauma teaching hospital
• Care for pediatric surgical patients in a main OR environment
• Day shifts with four 10-hour shifts per week from 6:45 to 17:00
• Short call required up to 3 times every six weeks
• Up to 4 off shifts (evenings/nights) every six weeks
• Up to 1 weekend shift and 1 weekend call every six weeks
• Holiday shift and call coverage as needed
• Uses Cerner for charting
• OR scrubs provided

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of travel nursing experience required
• Five years of pediatric operating room experience preferred
• Proficiency working within the operating room environment
• Two professional references from the last three places of employment, each from different facilities

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures in a high acuity, trauma Level I setting
• Part of a multidisciplinary surgical care team supported by advanced pediatric services
• OR scrub attire is provided; any solid color for unit attire allowed elsewhere
• Holiday, off-shift, and weekend coverage is required based on unit needs
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted at a lower rate
