American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care (Stepdown) Unit night shift position requiring an IL RN license and strong telemetry skills.

Details

• Work in a 24-bed Acute Stepdown Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a trauma level 2 facility
• Primary patient population includes dysrhythmias, cardiopulmonary issues, sepsis, high flow O2 needs, and behavioral patients needing IV drip medications
• Patient ratio is 1:3 or 1:4 depending on acuity
• Administers complex medication drips such as dopamine, levophed, cardizem, heparin, precedex, nitro, amiodarone, dobutamine, and nicardipine
• High patient throughput as expected in stepdown environments
• Uses Allscripts Sunrise EMR
• 12-hour night shifts with potential to work every other weekend

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent stepdown or progressive care experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Proficiency with Allscripts Sunrise EMR preferred

• Work closely with an on-unit educator for ongoing support
