Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Ortho RN with an active IL license and strong IV therapy skills for a night shift assignment.

Details

• Position based in an acute care hospital with Level I trauma and Magnet designation
• Orthopedics unit with 38 beds
• Night shift schedule with options to work 3x12 or 4x12 hours (1845-0715)
• Every third weekend is required
• Floating to other Med Surg units and affiliate hospitals as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Cerner for charting; experience with Cerner preferred
• Patient population includes orthopedics cases requiring telemetry monitoring

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of application
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
• IV therapy and phlebotomy skills, including PICC line management and starting IVs, required
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Must provide two professional supervisor references from the last two years
• Perm or PRN employees of Memorial must be separated for at least 12 months before applying
