Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) position with required CVOR and surgical scrub experience.

Details

Work in the CVOR within a hospital surgical department
Full-time position with shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with extensions beyond 3:00 PM as needed
Handles surgical patients ranging from infants to older adults
Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1
Weekend shifts and on-call coverage are required
No requirement to float outside of the OR

Requirements

Active LA or compact RN license
BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
Minimum of one year of recent surgical setting experience required
Five years of surgical scrub experience required
CVOR operating room experience is mandatory

Additional Information

Responsible for comprehensive perioperative nursing care for surgical patients
Requires effective communication with patients, surgical team, anesthesia, and other hospital departments
Must provide age-appropriate care from infants to older adults
Adherence to a 50-mile radius rule is required for eligibility
