American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a Level 1 Trauma, teaching hospital position in Georgia with strong critical care skills and a GA or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in multiple adult ICU units within a hospital setting including MICU, CCU, CVICU, NICU, PCU, and STICU
• Level 1 Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment
• ICU patient ratio is 1:1-2; PCU is 1:3-4
• 12-hour day shifts (7A-7P), 36 hours per week with a 6-week scheduling cycle
• Required to float between all ICU and PCU units and to Med/Tele units as needed
• Weekend rotation requires 6 weekend shifts over a 6-week schedule (every other weekend)
• Must work either 12/24 or 12/25 and 12/31 or 1/1 for holiday coverage
• Uses Epic for EMR with Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis, Phillips monitors, and Nova Glucose Stat Strips
• No call or call-back requirements

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CCRN certification preferred
• Must pass an EKG competency exam during onboarding
• Proficiency in trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, and managing/titrating complex drips (e.g., vasopressors, sedation, insulin, narcotics)
• Epic EMR experience preferred

• Support provided by CNAs, unit secretaries, charge nurses, phlebotomists, resource nurses, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists

• Orientation includes one day for modules and two days in the department
