Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology Special Procedures position requiring a GA or compact RN license and ACLS/BLS certifications.

Details

• Work in the Special Procedures unit within the interventional radiology and breast care imaging department
• Day shift schedule from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, working 8-hour shifts, 4 days per week
• 13-week contract assignment
• Patient care primarily involves providing IV sedation for radiology procedures
• No on-call responsibilities
• Radiology RN experience preferred, but ICU, ER, or PACU training is acceptable
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius of the facility will be considered

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS are required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty is required
• Radiology RN experience preferred; ICU, ER, or PACU experience required

Additional Information

• Must work at least one major holiday (either Christmas Day or New Year’s Day) and one minor holiday (either Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve) during the contract
• Responsibility includes administering IV sedation and supporting radiology procedures
• Returning staff who were previously employed as permanent staff must have a two-year break before being considered as a traveler
• Time off (RTO) must be requested during the initial application and cannot be requested after an offer is made
• First-time travelers will be considered
