American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit role, requiring an active NC or compact license and strong PCU experience.

Details

• Position is based in a hospital Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit with 36 beds
• Patient population includes cardiac, pulmonary, sepsis, renal failure, and complex respiratory conditions
• RN to patient ratio is 1:3-4
• 12-hour night shifts (1850-0720), every other weekend required
• Must be willing to float within the regional health system as needed, within scope of practice
• Pays for travel time if floating between facilities mid-shift
• Uses Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors
• No on-call responsibilities
• No remote telemetry monitoring; staff handle telemetry responsibilities each shift

Requirements

• Active NC or compact state RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with trached and vented patients, temporary and transvenous pacemakers, cardiac drips, rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, blood products, and advanced wound care
• Must have experience working with EPIC EMR
• Permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from the hospital unit

• Support staff includes CNAs, virtual nursing, 24/7 pharmacy, phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, respiratory therapy, and a dedicated case manager

• Orientation consists of NEO and two days department/unit training
• Travelers are required to work approximately 75% of holidays
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Navy blue scrubs are required
