Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN with a California license and strong floating capabilities for a night shift position.

Details

• Work within the Emergency Department across multiple hospital campuses
• True float position rotating between CPMC Van Ness, Mission Bernal, and Davies campuses
• Each shift may be assigned to a different campus with notification provided 2 hours before shift start
• Night shifts with a 3x12 schedule (19:00-07:30) and weekend rotation required
• On-call duties are included as part of the schedule
• Shuttle transport is provided between campuses

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum of 3 years of recent ER nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Must be able to complete lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• Returning staff must have been gone for at least 1 year to be eligible to return as a traveler

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in the ER, utilizing the nursing process for effective patient management
• Serves as a patient advocate and promotes safety and clinical quality
• Orientation includes required e-learning modules, with completion during onboarding
• Only one holiday requested off will be approved during the contract
• Travelers may float to other campuses if low census on home unit
• Team-oriented environment with support for travelers
• Epic EMR used throughout all campuses
