American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) with EPIC experience and a KY or compact RN license for a day shift position.

Details

• Work in a hospital Cardiovascular Operating Room as a CSFA
• Perform duties including Endoscopic Vein Harvesting, Open Vein Harvesting, Minimally Invasive Cardiac Procedures, and standard CABG procedures
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 6am to 2pm, with 40 hours per week
• Required to take 1-2 overnight call shifts per week
• Weekend coverage required one full weekend every 3-4 weeks, from Friday to Monday morning
• Expected to float within scope as needed
• Uses EPIC EMR; experience required
• Locals within a 75-mile radius are accepted

Requirements

• Current KY or compact RN license required
• Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) credential through NBSTSA, ABSA, or NSAA required and must be in hand
• Minimum of 2 years of recent CVOR experience required
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Must be credentialed through Medical Affairs prior to start, which includes credentialing and privileging
• Two supervisor references required for consideration
• COVID-19 vaccination required with medical or religious exemptions considered; flu vaccination required
• Must be able to meet dress code standards including absence of agency or brand logos on scrubs

Additional Information

• Assist in inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular surgeries in the CVOR
• Adhere to strict standards for appearance including no nose rings, no gauged earrings, and natural fingernails less than 1/4 inch in length
• All RTO requests must be submitted at initial consideration and kept to a minimum
• Orientation modules must be completed, with potential assignments throughout the contract
• Free parking available on-site; refrigerator and microwave provided, but no cafeteria
• Holiday work may be required based on the schedule
• Return staff policy requires a one-year gap from any employment in the system prior to being eligible to return as a traveler
• After one year on assignment, a 90-day break is required before returning to any facility within the system
