American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with active CA licensure and 2 years of ED experience for a mids shift assignment.

Details

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
• Handles a variety of emergency cases and critical patient populations
• Shift is 3x12 hours, 13:00–01:30 (mids), with required weekend rotation
• No on-call responsibility

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
• Must meet 50-mile radius eligibility rule
• Former staff must have been separated for at least 1 year to return as a traveler

Additional Information

• Performs assessments, clinical procedures including IVs, Foleys, dressings, and manages tele monitoring, IV, and vent equipment
• Delivers effective patient and family education and safe medication administration
• Acts as a patient advocate and role model for safety behaviors
• Responsible for recognizing changes in patient condition and accurate documentation
• Works both independently and collaboratively within the team
• Professional appearance and timely completion of tasks required
• Only one holiday time off request will be approved during assignment
• Following acceptance, must be able to complete lab work within 3-5 days
