Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least 2 years of perioperative experience, MD or compact RN license, and flexibility for various shifts, including weekends and on-call.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room with 6 non-hybrid rooms
• Caseload includes general, urology, plastics, vascular, ortho, gynecology, neuro, and robotic cases
• Shifts alternate between 4x10s, 2x8s, and 2x12s on days with typical start times of 07:00 or 10:00
• Weekend and on-call coverage required, typically two on-call weekends per 6-week schedule cycle
• Average 18-20 surgical cases per day
• On rare occasions, may float to Endoscopy as needed

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA only) certifications required
• Minimum 2 years recent operating room RN experience required
• First-assist and/or scrub experience preferred but not required
• Two satisfactory professional references required: one supervisor/manager and one charge RN
• Permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• Must be comfortable with on-call responsibilities including weekends
• Required to work as scheduled during holidays as assigned
• Scheduling accommodations (block/requests) cannot be guaranteed
• Return travelers must be gone a minimum of 6 months; former staff must be gone 12 months before returning as traveler
• Floating within the hospital may be required within scope of experience
• Required to participate in non-billable onboarding modules
• Flu, COVID, and any facility-mandated vaccinations/tests to be completed as per assignment policy
