American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with a NC or compact license, EPIC experience, and strong clinical background in emergency care.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department (ED) of a hospital
• Provides direct care to a diverse emergency patient population
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours, 7:00pm to 7:30am
• Schedule includes 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6 weeks
• Holidays required as needed
• No call required
• Floating to any campus within the health system may be required
• Utilizes EPIC as the charting system with experience required

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) RN experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• CPI, PALS, and TNCC preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass a mandatory EKG exam during compliance with two attempts allowed
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Previous Charge RN and Level II Trauma experience preferred
• First time travelers are welcome

Additional Information

• Respond to acute emergencies and provide advanced life support interventions in the ED
• Must maintain flexibility with scheduling and adhere to strict attendance standards
• All module completion will occur during orientation and is required prior to unit assignment
• Testing and orientation modules may take between 2-4 hours, depending on unit assignment
• Candidates should be prepared for rapid compliance and onboarding requirements
• Verification of education must be from an approved institution
• Holiday coverage may be required
• Time off requests must be submitted at the time of application; changes are not allowed after submission
