Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with at least 2 years of recent ER experience and required certifications including BLS, ACLS, NIH, and PALS.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital serving all age groups
• Patient populations include cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health
• Facility is STEMI and stroke certified with additional specialties in women's health and cath lab
• Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts (7p-7a), occasional 3p-3a as needed
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage may be required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Use of Epic EMR; prior Epic experience required
• Floats may be required to other campuses within the health system

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license in hand at time of application
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER RN experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Prior experience in STEMI and stroke designated facilities required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Successful completion of a pass/fail EKG exam with up to two attempts during compliance
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

• Care for diverse emergency cases including cardiac, neurological, trauma, and behavioral health
• Orientation includes completion of unit-based modules (2-4 hours on average)
