Description

American Traveler is seeking a NICU RN with at least 1.5 years of recent experience, an active NJ or compact RN license, and current BLS and NRP certifications.

Details

• Work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) caring for intensive care and special care neonates
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, 19:00-07:30
• Required to work 3 weekend shifts a month and one Friday
• Must be able to work 2 out of 3 winter holidays
• Traveler will float to like units as needed
• Patient ratios determined by unit needs
• Uses Epic for charting
• No on-call responsibilities
• 13-week assignment with a 36-hour work week
• Block scheduling not available
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent NICU experience required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Must have experience caring for intensive care and special care neonates
• Epic charting experience preferred
• RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must be separated for at least 1 year before eligibility for travel assignments

Additional Information

• Provide specialized nursing care to neonates in a NICU setting
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must be able to float to similar units as staffing needs arise
• Holiday coverage required for 2 out of 3 winter holidays
• Work collaboratively with an experienced NICU team
• Dress code and scrub requirements are per facility standards
