American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Post Partum Mother-Baby position in Massachusetts with NRP and BLS certifications and night shift scheduling.

Details

• Work in a postpartum mother-baby unit within a hospital setting
• Care for both vaginal and cesarean delivered postpartum patients
• Mother-baby couplet care with patient ratios of 3-4 couplets per nurse
• Unit consists of two areas: Pod A with 11 rooms and Wesson 2 with 20 rooms, surge capacity for up to 18 additional beds
• Night shift (7p-7a), 12-hour shifts
• Floating required, with first float to Labor, Delivery, and Recovery (LDR)
• Weekend and holiday shifts are required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent postpartum nursing experience
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Experience providing comprehensive postpartum, maternal, and newborn care

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include maternal assessments, newborn evaluations, breastfeeding support, and discharge education for families
• Staff may be floated within the OB service to support LDR based on unit needs
• Team-oriented environment with comprehensive patient and family education focus
• Scrub or dress code requirements not specified
