American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Behavioral Health unit night shift assignment requiring EPIC and STARR certification, with a strong background in psychiatric care.

Details

• Work in a Behavioral Health unit within a healthcare facility
• Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and pediatrics with diagnoses such as MDD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and substance abuse
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours (7:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.)
• Every other weekend rotation and holidays as needed
• Floating required across all campus locations as needed
• Uses Epic EMR; experience required

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required at time of application
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience required
• Prior charge RN experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• STARR certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a mandatory EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include providing behavioral health nursing care and supporting multidisciplinary mental health teams
• Cover holiday shifts as assigned; no RTO permitted for Thanksgiving or Christmas
• First-time travelers are welcome for this position
• Module-based orientation provided during onboarding, approximately 2-4 hours
• Strict adherence to scheduling policies, including zero tolerance for tardiness or unexcused absences
