American Traveler is seeking an experienced Endoscopy RN with scrub experience, EPIC proficiency, and ACLS/BLS certification.

Details

• Work in inpatient and outpatient endoscopy settings with cases at bedside or pre/post procedure units
• Patient populations include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Schedules available: 5x8 hour shifts (7A-3P) or 4x10 hour shifts (7A-5P), 40 hours per week
• Required to participate in a call rotation: 4 weeknights in a 6-week schedule plus 1 weekend
• Must work one holiday or take call during a 13-week contract
• Uses EPIC electronic medical record system; prior experience required

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required (pending accepted only for single-state, non-compact license holders)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Scrub experience in endoscopy required
• Experience with airway management, conscious and monitored anesthesia care sedation recovery necessary
• Proficiency with equipment including balloon dilators, electrosurgical units, ERBE, forceps, and polyp snares
• Experience with endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, and esophageal varices banding
• Ability to interpret/manage dysrhythmias, handle/label specimens, obtain 12-lead ECG, and start/maintain IVs
• Must provide two professional references for consideration

• Role includes circulating, scrubbing, and assisting with advanced endoscopic procedures
• Responsible for monitoring and assessments including lab values, isolation protocols, and pain management
