American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in Ohio, requiring a compact or OH state license and recent Med/Surg Tele experience.

Details

• Work in a Med/Surg Tele unit with 22 beds caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Typical cases include burns, plastic/reconstructive surgery (with flaps, grafts, leech therapy), urology, GYN, ENT, and oral/maxillofacial surgeries
• Perform specialized procedures such as burn dressings, flap checks, and leech therapy
• Uses Epic for documentation and Pyxis for medication management
• Shift is 12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other or every third weekend required
• Floating within the hospital is required

Requirements

• Active RN license (OH or compact) in hand at the time of consideration
• Current BLS certification
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg Tele experience with similar patient population
• Submission of 2 professional references, at least one from a manager, director, or formal leadership role
• Previous charge RN and teaching hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Support services available include IV/pharmacy, respiratory, physical therapy, social work, transport, and rapid response teams
• Former employees are eligible if separated for more than 6 months; current employees are not eligible as travelers
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• All time off requests must be submitted up front and built into the contract
• Urgent completion of the Ohio fingerprinting process is required upon contract signing
