Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Orthopedics position requiring at least 2 years of RN experience, EPIC EMR proficiency, and NC or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Hospital-based role in a 29-bed orthopedic and med/surg unit
• Care provided for adult and geriatric orthopedic and medical surgical patients, including post-operative joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties
• Telemetry monitoring is available on the unit
• Physical therapy gym located on the unit for patient rehabilitation
• Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Required to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
• No call responsibilities
• Floating to other campuses or units may be required as needed
• EPIC EMR is used and prior experience is required

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license in hand at time of application
• At least 2 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass an EKG exam during compliance, with two attempts allowed
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; locals are not accepted
• Education must be verified through a third-party service and cannot be from a school on the Florida Diploma Fraud list
• No open cases allowed on background check

• Holiday coverage may be required based on unit needs
• Strict policy for timeliness and attendance with zero tolerance for tardiness or unexcused absences

• Passing an EKG exam is required for employment and candidates must prepare on their own as study material is not provided
