Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health RN with a VA or compact license and CPI-Blue certification for an inpatient psychiatric assignment.

Details

• Work in an inpatient behavioral health/psychiatric unit
• 36-bed capacity with patient ratios of 1:6–7 from 7A–11P and 1:10 from 11P–7A
• Primary schedule is 3x12 hour day shifts (6:45AM–7:15PM) with 4x12 available upon request
• Float to other behavioral health locations may be required
• Epic EMR is used and prior experience with Epic is required

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS and CPI-Blue certifications (must be through Crisis Prevention Institute, with card in hand or class scheduled)
• Prior experience in inpatient psychiatric/behavioral health setting required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Travel nursing experience preferred

Additional Information

• Mileage reimbursement at $0.50 per mile for required floating
• Travelers are required to work at least one holiday per assignment, or two holidays during the winter holiday period (Thanksgiving, Christmas/Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day)
• Local candidates within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Candidates residing 50–99.9 miles away may be eligible for one 13-week assignment with no extension, specific to inpatient RN positions at select locations
• Former employees must have a break in service of at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may not return after completing 365 days of assignment
• Orientation includes online modules with up to 5 hours for facility onboarding and 2 hours for Epic
