Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN with a SC or compact license, ACLS/BLS certification, and at least one year of recent emergency department experience.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital
• Patient ratio is 1:4 in the ER
• Night shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• EPIC is used for charting; recent experience preferred but not required
• On-call and holiday requirements depend on shift selection: either one holiday with two on-call/additional shifts per 6 weeks, or two holidays with no on-call/additional shifts
• Block scheduling is not available
• Floating may be required based on staffing needs

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license; pending license accepted but must be obtained prior to start
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ER experience preferred; candidates with 1 year considered on a case by case basis
• Must pass arrhythmia (cardiac dysrhythmia) and medication tests on the first day of orientation with one attempt
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront; additional requests after acceptance will not be considered

Additional Information

• Will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide care in a fast-paced ER environment
• Attendance policy is enforced; more than two missed shifts per contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract termination
• No cost for staff parking at the facility
• Compliance documents must be completed five business days prior to start
• No required educational modules prior to start
