Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery RN with at least 2 years of recent L&D experience and a TX or compact license for a busy hospital unit.

Details

• Work in a high-volume Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital environment
• Primary patient population consists of laboring and postpartum women with fetal monitoring required
• Night shifts available with options for 3x12 or 4x12 hour schedules (7:00 pm - 7:00 am)
• Required to float to similar units as needed

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience required; 3 years preferred
• Nursing degree required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire
• Current NRP certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Breastfeeding education certification or completion within 90 days of hire
• Experience with fetal monitoring required
• Travel nurse experience preferred
• Candidates must live at least 110 miles away to be eligible

Additional Information

• Provide care and support for women during labor and delivery, including fetal monitoring responsibilities
• Must be able to float to similar units when necessary
• Orientation and necessary certifications must be completed within the facility's specified timeframes
• Two references from supervisors within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration
• Not accepting local candidates within a 110 mile radius
