American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN with open heart OR scrub experience, ECMO, and Epic proficiency for a day shift contract.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of a hospital setting
• Handles complex cardiovascular surgical cases including CABG, valve replacements/repairs, aortic dissections, pericardial windows, thoracotomies, and VATS
• Scrub and circulate on open heart procedures is required
• Day shift, 4x10s (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Call is required with a mandatory 30-minute response time
• ECMO, LVAD, and Impella device cases performed
• Experience with robotic-assisted chest cases is preferred
• EPIC EMR experience is required
• Travelers may be required to float to other campuses as needed

Requirements

• Active NC or compact state RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR RN experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Prior open heart operating room scrub experience is mandatory
• Proficiency with ECMO, LVAD, and Impella devices is required
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• Ability to pass a mandatory EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility—no local candidates accepted

Additional Information

• RNs must scrub and circulate open heart procedures with no exceptions
• No first-time travelers unless they have open heart CVOR experience
• Candidates are required to complete pre-employment modules during orientation
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• All candidates should be prepared to pass a pass/fail EKG competency exam as part of compliance
• Education verification through a third party is required and select Florida schools are not accepted
• Holiday coverage may be required based on unit staffing needs
• No local candidates within 50 miles will be considered
