American Traveler is seeking a skilled CVOR RN with at least 2 years of experience and an active SC or compact RN license for a travel assignment in a Level I Trauma and teaching hospital.

Details

• Position is in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) at a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet Hospital
• Work 3x12-hour shifts from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM
• One 24-hour weekend on-call shift per month is required
• Possible holiday coverage required
• Patient population includes cardiothoracic, vascular, surgical oncology, plastics, colorectal, robotics, and bariatric cases
• EPIC EMR is used in the facility
• Radiation badge is required for the role and will be provided by the agency

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license must be in hand at the start of the contract
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS certifications are required
• Minimum of 2 years of CVOR nursing experience required
• Ability to circulate all service lines including CT, vascular, surgical oncology, plastics, colorectal, robotics, and bariatric procedures
• Strongly prefer experience scrubbing cardiac and vascular cases
• Experience with EPIC EMR is preferred
• Required documents include driver's license and social security number for consideration
• Must be able to use or obtain a radiation badge

Additional Information

• Duties include circulating and assisting with a variety of complex CVOR procedures
• Role is part of a multidisciplinary team at a major academic medical center
• All required online training modules must be completed prior to start
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this position
• Candidates must provide all requested time off at the time of application; approval is based on department needs
• Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
• Previous perm staff (including PRN) must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates within 60 miles are considered at a reduced rate and on a case-by-case basis
• Scrub or dress code requirements will be provided by the unit
